We are proud to once again offer this rare piece in Royal Copenhagen's "Flora Danica" line! This is a fully hand-crafted, latticed porcelain dome, consisting of hand-applied flowers and leaves ~ not to mention a graceful tulip up top ~ along with four panels featuring four different hand-painted flowers native to Denmark (the names are noted in Latin on the inside of the dome), all finished off with a generous amount of hand-applied gold.

The base can serve as a separate serving piece in its own right, and features a toothed edge and more hand-applied decoration with gold touches.

The height of the dome is 10-1/4", with a width of 8-1/2". The base measures 12" across, with the inner bowl measuring 7" in diameter.

The piece & pattern number for this ice bell (the original held a block of ice to cool the guests at the banquet table) is 20/3538. The line under the G in Copenhagen dates the set to 1969-1973.
